Born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, Rachel moved to New York City at the wizened age of eighteen to pursue a career in modeling. Sixteen years and twenty-three countries later, she is now settled in Brooklyn, pursuing her lifelong dream of being a writer.

She has written about all things beauty, bridal, and fashion for Brides, The Right Hairstyles, and Fashion Beans. Her essays, short stories, and nonfiction work have appeared in Action: Spectacle, Kerning, and Writing Disorder. In true writerly fashion, upon the completion of her first novel in 2023 she moved it to a file on her computer and began anew on a second (better) novel—in her estimation, anyways…
